Biography of Pavel Kukhta

Pavel Kukhta was born in Grodno (Belarus), where he got his first music education. Having graduated from the Academy of Music in Minsk (Belarus) he entered the Master Course (prof. E. Gridushko). He also played in master-classes for famous guitarists such as Pepe Romero, David Russel, Hubert Kappel, Marco Tamayo Diaz, Oscar Ghiglia, Elena Papandreo and others.

From 2002 Pavel has an active concert performance life. He played concerts in Austria, Czech, Hungry, Lithuania, Poland, Russia, Slovakia, etc. Also Pavel is a laureate of a number of international guitar competitions, among them XLV M.Pittaluga International Guitar Competition in Alessandria (Italy), XLVIII F. Tarrega International guitar competition in Benicassim (Spain) and others.

2013 marked by a great event in Belarusian guitar life. Pavel had organized “Nuages” joint project with legendary Roland Dyens in a big concert hall of Belarusian State Philharmonic.

At present Pavel Kukhta is a soloist of Belarusian State Philharmonic and he teaches at the Belarusian music college.
